The intensive 10-day program will take place in Jerusalem on 5-15 July 2018. By meeting and studying with fellow educators from around the Jewish world, seminar participants connect with Progressive Jewish communities worldwide, form powerful bonds with the State of Israel and strengthen their own educational and pedagogical skills as well as Jewish knowledge.

Peter Kohn, Temple Beth Israel member and senior journalist at the Australian Jewish News, will be writing quarterly reports on Kehilat Shanghai. Kohn's family lived in Shanghai during World War II, and he has written two novels about the Shanghai Jewish community.
Rabbi David Kunin, with his wife Shelley and Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky, under the auspices of the UPJ, has assisted Indonesia's emerging Progressive community over the past number of years. Earlier this month, Rabbi Kunin brought two Sifrei Torah to Tokyo (donated by congregations in Edmonton, Canada and Newcastle, Pennsylvania) and will deliver them to Indonesia next month.
