Susan Kadar, translator of Dr Andor Kӓmpfner’s Holocaust journal, will present an online talk hosted by the Sydney Jewish Museum on Sunday 14 June at 7.00pm. In his diary, Andor, a Hungarian Holocaust survivor, evocatively writes about his journey from his home to the ghetto, deportation in a cattle wagon, Auschwitz, the death march, Buchenwald and, finally, liberation. The talk will feature a reading of excerpts from the journal, as well as memories shared by his wife. Cost: $5 per person; click here to book your place and click here to purchase a copy of the book, Beyond Imagining.
