Leaders and Members of Sydney’s Jewish Community at Admiralty House

On Tuesday 16 December, the Governor-General of Australia hosted leaders and members of Sydney’s Jewish community at Admiralty House to acknowledge their grief and the leadership and comfort these extraordinary people have been offering to so many.

The evening, organised by Emanuel Synagogue’s Rabbi Jeffrey Kamins OAM, included beautiful words from Rabbi Benjamin Elton, the Blessing of Healing delivered by our Rabbi Jacqueline Ninio OAM, memorial prayer led by Rabbi Shua Solomon, and was attended by the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Opposition Leader and members of parliament.

The Governor-General conveyed to the group the thoughts, warm wishes, and gratitude of His Majesty The King — shared during her conversation with His Majesty on Monday — for the light, unity, and love they bring at this time of darkness.
