Our Jewish tradition teaches us to dedicate the 29 days in the month of Elul, the month preceding the High Holy Days, as a period of self-examination and spiritual deepening. The Assembly of Rabbis and Cantors of Australia, New Zealand and Asia has prepared a series of reflections for each day in the month of Elul. Rosh Chodesh Elul falls on 18 August.
